Visiting Library Service Volunteer

(Must be at least 19 years of age; Police Record Check required; driver's licence and use of a car with valid insurance is required).

Visiting Library Service Volunteers make it possible for Barrie Public Library (BPL) to extend its services to library patrons who are confined at home and unable to visit the library in person. They also deliver materials to participating health care institutions. Each volunteer is assigned one or more library patrons and serves as a link between each patron and BPL. Volunteers are provided with an opportunity to serve their community and help to fulfill the mission statement of the library.
