Do research 24/7

These databases allow you to do research in magazine and newspaper articles covering a wide range of subjects. You can find the fulltext for many major Canadian newspapers, and current and back issues of over 1,000 magazines.

Many of our databases are available through the library's web site 24/7, whether from the library, home, school or work.

PLEASE NOTE: You will now need your 14-digit library card number AND your 4 digit PIN in order to access many of our online resources. .

Universal Class

Universal Class is a set of online courses covering a wide range of topics. Courses are studied at your own pace and there are instructors available to answer questions and monitor your progress. Up to 5 courses can be studied at a time.

The first time you use Universal Class you must create an account in order to have your progress saved. After this you can click the 'Sign In' button in the top right of the screen (see screenshot below).

Universal Class is accredited as an Authorized Provider by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET).

Universalis Junior

La version junior de la fameuse (Encyclopaedia) Universalis est une encyclopédie en français spécialement conçue pour les enfants et les jeunes adolescents.  Il existe une version anglaise de plusieurs articles, ainsi qu’un dictionnaire français – anglais, anglais - français.       The junior version of the famous (Encyclopaedia) Universalis is a French-language encyclopedia designed for children and young teens.  Many articles have an English equivalent and there are French - English, English – French dictionaries.
