Dragon Boat Volunteer Info Night for Students
The 2016 Barrie Dragon Boat Festival is coming up on Saturday, August 27! As Barrie's largest waterfront festival, we couldn't run it without the support of our many volunteers. Volunteering at the Barrie Dragon Boat Festival is a great way to get your community service hours, AND have a blast while doing it!
There are lots of different volunteer opportunities available, and each one has a great impact on the festival and our community. We're holding a volunteer information night for students so you can learn about the different options and what might be the best fit for you. Join us Downtown on Monday, May 16 from 6 - 8 p.m. and get a head start on your 40 hours of community service!

About the Barrie Dragon Boat Festival
The Barrie Public Library is the proud host of Barrie's largest waterfront festival, the Barrie Dragon Boat Festival. This is an annual event that is made possible by the support of our sponsors, volunteers and community teams. The Festival is held at the City of Barrie's beautiful Heritage Park, with racing on the waters of Kempenfelt Bay.
The 14th annual Barrie Dragon Boat Festival will take place on Saturday, August 27th, 2016. The festival is designed as a community event which supports many other charities alongside the Library. Practices typically occur between mid-May to end of August. The event day is filled with dragon boat races, community vendors, a kids zone and more!
