Learn to Paddle sessions for community members

Want to try dragon boating but aren't ready to join a team quite yet? Looking to get out on the water? We're holding Learn to Paddle sessions for the community this summer!  Come down to Heritage Park July 9 or 16 to learn the basics of dragon boat racing and see what all the excitement is about.

The sessions will run rain or shine, but may be cancelled in the case of unsafe water conditions. Participants are required to sign a waiver before taking part. Space is limited to the first 20 people to register online.  

The Fine Print

  • $5 per paddler
  • Open to those 16 years of age and older
  • Lifejackets will be provided
  • Please prepare for the weather: wear sunscreen, a hat, appropriate clothing, and bring water
